Sacramento, Calif – The NorCal Battle of the Badges official weigh-in produced 17 hard hitting bouts including 4 UCA Championship title fights for Saturday night’s event.

Among those weighing in were 8 fighters who will be fighting for UCA Championship titles. The undefeated Champion Anthony Cross, CDCR CSP Sacramento and 4th ranked Juan Valle, Sanger Police Dept came in under the limit for  their fUCA Cruiserweight title fight. The undefeated Champion Frank Quitugua, CDCR CMF and Joe Fuentes, Miami City Fire Rescue both hit their mark of 147 pounds for the Masters UCA Welterweight title fight. James Dorris, Folsom Police Dept and Bryan Williams, Fresno Police Dept came in way under the 212 limit for the Masters UCA Jr Heavyweight title.

A shock occurred when the undefeated UCA Super Welterweight Champion April Martinez, CDCR CHCF stepped onto the scale. Martinez failed to make the 160-pound weight limit for her UCA Super Welterweight title defense. Martinez came in 10 pounds over the limit while Segovia hit her mark exactly at 160 pounds. Since the champion Martinez did not make the contracted weight the fight could be a non title fight or canceled but Segovia wanted to fight. “I didn’t travel from Los Angeles and train this hard for the fight to be canceled. I don’t care how much she weighs I want to fight.” Let’s go!!! Don’t miss tomorrow night’s event. Doors open at 4:30 first punch thrown at 6:30. 701 K Street Downtown Sacramento.
