Steven Lee, Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Department was introduced to the UCA April 11, 2015 when he traveled from Wichita Kansas to compete in the California Battle of the Badges. Lee squared off with Zachary Farris, California Highway Patrol in a battle of welterweights. Both fighters showed their warrior spirit and refused to back down in a very competitive action filled fight. Lee and Farris would earn the UCA Golden Fists award. An award given to a fighter who has the skills and characteristicimagejpeg_0s of becoming a champion. Lee has been with the Sedgwick Sheriff’s Dept. seven years and has competed in Battle of the Badges events in California, Missouri, Kansas, Texas and Louisiana. By competing in charity events and representing his department Lee shows his son the importance of giving back and helping others. Lee is more than a fighter, he is a deputy and a devoted father to his son. He his committed to being a role model and setting a good example for his son by the way he carries himself.  Lee told himself the day his son was born, “I will do everything I can to show him that there are still good people in the world and that I am accomplishing what I said and that I will continue to represent my commitment to him and to the Sheriff’s Office in and out of the ring. As well as helping as many people I can along my way.” Lee’s next fight is against the UCA Jr Middleweight Interim Champion Chris Martinez, Fresno PD August 15, 2015 in the Louisiana Battle of the Badges.
