Two fighters who delivered the most action packed, back and forth, edge of your seat excitement.  Masse and Tuua gave the fans just about everything they could want from a fight. They were tested and proved they are true modern day gladiators.

The UCA Light Heavyweight Champion Kyle Stewart, USMC is leaving the amateur ranks and will be testing his skills as a professional fighter. Stewart is the UCA Champion and King of the Cage Champion and will be looking to make a name for himself as an MMA fighter in Bellator and the UFC. Before Stewart turns professional he will represent Arizona in the Elite Amateur Fight League.  The UCA wishes Mr. Stewart luck in his professional endeavors.

The Elite Amateur Fight League is a nationally competitive team based MMA organization comprised of individual teams to form a league. Each team is made up of 7 fighters, one per weight class. The format is similar to the most successful sports leagues in America. In season one, 4 teams will participate in a playoff style tournament to determine a champion. The league is designed to improve the amateur MMA landscape by providing a platform for national level talent to compete against each other and gain national level exposure while providing fans of the sport a single portal to watch the future stars of mixed martial arts.

The main event of this UCA Triple Header features a high octane super heavyweight championship fight between two of the best and most athletic super heavyweights in the state. Chris Lewis, Fresno Sheriff’s Dept. defends his UCA Super Heavyweight Title against battle tested, #1 ranked Pierce Masse, Fresno Police Dept. The co main event features hometown favorite UCA Middleweight State Champion DJ Vargas, Avenal Police Dept. making the first defense of his title against hard hitting #1 ranked Quincy Mirage, Los Angeles Police Dept. Rounding out this championship night of boxing will be the best Jr Welterweight in the state Francisco Flores, Stanislaus Sheriff’s Dept. taking on the undefeated 2nd ranked Shant Sheklanian, Madera Police Dept.  Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online or at the door the day of the event. The fighters were phDSC_6265 (800x765)otographed as they worked out and talked about the upcoming April 11, 2015 event at the Hanford Civic Auditorium. Main event fighter Pierce Masse, Fresno Police Dept. sparred and shadowboxed while, Middleweight UCA Champion DJ Vargas, Avenal Police Dept. displayed his footwork and speed. The undefeated 2nd ranked Jr Welterweight Shant Sheklanian, Madera Police Dept. was on hand looking in tip top shape.  2nd ranked Chris Martinez, Fresno PD, 10th ranked Devon Dejoie, Navy and Battle of the Badges newcomer AJ Forestiere, Madera PD worked out and talked about their training and thoughts on their opponents.
