Knockout Power

Posted In Blog

FullSizeRender12Power is a dangerous thing. When you fight a guy with knockout power you have to fight a near perfect fight. There can be no distractions. You have to be in moment. There are no do overs or second chances. If you lose focus and get caught, it’s lights out.

FullSizeRender(2)When you think about the glory days of LAPD Boxing names like Rudy Barragan, George Lopez, Frank Diaz, Ivan Guillermo, Gabriel Gaxiola and Susie Gras come to mind. They dominated the competition and were considered the best in California and perhaps the country.  Those glory days may soon be back. Under the guidance of boxer/coach Jorge Gonzalez  LAPD fighters Hector Mendoza, and Quincy Mirage, have established themselves as the best in their respected weight class. 3rd ranked Middleweight Mike Delery hopes to join his stablemates at the top by the end of the summer. Jorge has proved he can teach and empower his fighters to reach their full potential to become a champion. Iron sharpens iron, when training and sparring with top level guys everyday you have no choice but to get better.  Coach Jorge Gonzalez is already a lock for “UCA Trainer of the Year.”
