10 years ago, the first UCA Central California Battle of the Badges was held at the Hanford Civic Auditorium. Fight fans packed into the auditorium to witness four UCA Championship title fights and a loaded undercard. The event has gained a lot of momentum and is now considered the most exciting and competitive cards featuring the best fighters in public safety boxing.

UCA Jr Welterweight Title Fight – Walter Lavarro, Long Beach PD vs Francisco Flores, Stanislaus Sheriff’s Dept

UCA Welterweight Title Fight – Brent Bugarin, Santa Clara Sheriff’s Dept vs Jorge Caamal, LASD

UCA Middleweight Title Fight – Dennis Vargas, Avenal PD vs Ricky Seward, Big Bear Fire Dept.

UCA Super Heavyweight Title Fight Cleon Jones, Yolo Co. Sheriff’s Dept vs Shay Mcyntre, CDCR – Folsom State Prison.

UCA Fight of the Night honors went to Dre Fonseca, LAPD vs Laura Morales, Fresno County Probation.
