One of the hardest things to do is get your title back after losing it. Only two other UCA Champions have done it. Quincy Mirage, LAPD and Efrain Moreno, LAPD. Now the former reigning and defending champion Anthony Cross, CDCR – CSP Sacramento is determined to become the third. Anthony lost his title to Israel Padilla, Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office. Padilla recently resigned from the sheriffs office and the title is now vacant. Anthony knows what it takes to win at the highest level, but his journey back to the top will be anything but easy. Standing in his way is the formidable Alberto Gomez, representing San Diego Fire Rescue Department and training out of the renowned Bomber Squad Boxing Academy in San Diego. Gomez is a seasoned fighter with a record of 5-2 and has tested himself on big stages, including the Battle of the Badges in Atlanta, GA. Gomez remains something of a mystery to many with only sparring footage and past fight videos to go by his talent and grit are undeniable.
For Anthony Cross, this is about redemption, legacy, and proving he still belongs at the pinnacle of the UCA cruiserweight division. For Alberto Gomez, this is about stepping out of the shadows, seizing his moment and proving he is the best cruiserweight in the game.
Will Anthony reclaim his crown and once again sit atop the mountain? Or will Alberto deliver a career defining performance and establish himself as the undisputed UCA Cruiserweight king?
