The Masters UCA Super Middleweight Champion Javier Banuelos of CDCR CSP Sac is set to make his first title defense. Standing in his way is Edward Del Rosario of Solano County Probation. Javier will be returning to the ring for the first time since capturing the title on October 15, 2022, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, where he earned a decision victory over Rashaan Jones of the Solano County District Attorney’s Office to claim the UCA Championship. He’s back in training with longtime coach Rudy Batista at Life Changer Gym in Roseville.
Although Del Rosario may lack the experience and accolades of Javier, he’s been putting in the work, determined to seize this opportunity. Edward has been logging long hours at Benicia Boxing Gym under the guidance of trainer Andy Gellon. Gellon is no stranger to success, having guided Mike Hagen of the California Highway Patrol to the Masters UCA Light Heavyweight Championship title.
Both Javier and Edward bring a wealth of skill to the ring, setting the stage for an exciting and competitive fight. From top to bottom, this card is packed with action, featuring some of the finest public safety boxing has to offer.
Don’t miss the NorCal Battle of the Badges Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium.
