It is a distinct honor to have professional boxing referee Jon Schorle and his esteemed team overseeing the action at the UCA NorCal Battle of the Badges last Saturday at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. His skill and fairness were showcased during one of the best Public Safety female Championship fights between Vanessa Melendez of CDCR – SCC and Jacquelyn Rodriguez from the San Bernardino District Attorney’s Office. One week after the Battle of the Badges, Mr. Schorle officiated the historic Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano rematch, one of the greatest professional female boxing matches ever. Mr. Schorle’s presence and expertise elevated both events, leaving a lasting impact on the sport and its athletes.
