Three fighters from Grillo Boxing Gym in Kerman, California, are grinding through training camp under the guidance of 2X UCA Coach of the Year Juan Berber.
Making their UCA debuts are Jr Middleweight Anthony Aguilar, CDCR – Avenal State Prison and Super Heavyweight Alberto Garcia, DSH – Coalinga. Also in camp is the Masters UCA 4th ranked Cruiserweight Hector Munoz CDCR – Avenal State Prison.
A former professional boxer turned highly respected trainer, Berber has built a boxing program developing both amateur and professional talent. His gym has produced 2 UCA Champions, Marcel Hernandez and John Olson both proudly representing CDCR – ASP, Golden Gloves Champions, National Champions and undefeated professional fighters. Berber is also the trainer of the former UCA #1 ranked Cruiserweight Jose Zambrano, CDCR – Avenal State Prison, who just won his professional debut by knockout.
With Coach Berber leading the way, there’s no doubt Munoz, Aguilar, and Garcia will be well prepared when they step into the ring Saturday October 24, 2026 to compete in the NorCal Battle of the Badges at Rock & Brews in Sacramento. Doors open at 4:00 p.m., and the first bell rings at 6:00 p.m.
