The biggest fight on the card that isn’t a title bout might be the most violent. Two battle tested veterans will collide when #3 Mario Martinez, CDCR – Pleasant Valley State Prison, faces #5 Rogelio Soto, CDCR – CSP Sacramento. Both men are coming off losses, and that changes everything. Sparring sessions now turn into ring wars, and training is taken to another level.
Between them, they have more ring experience than the rest of the bout sheet combined.
Both fighters are already deep into camp. Martinez is grinding at Palafox Boxing Academy alongside a stable of pro fighters. Soto is sharpening his edge at the Underground Lab under Marcus Reaves, sparring with #1 ranked Andy Pholkham, Sacramento Sheriff’s Office, and #3 ranked JuVan Willie, CDCR – CSP Sacramento.
Neither man is here to play it safe. Both are hunting for the finish.
