The Battle in the Desert took place Saturday night in Cathedral City, CA. It was another sold out event featuring top level fighters.

In a shocking upset Priscilla Valdovinos, Lindsay Police Dept suffers her first defeat. The undefeated (4-0) #1 ranked Valdovinos was outpointed by unranked Leslie Martinez, Los Angeles Sheriff’s Dept.  A lot of credit to Martinez who made her ring debut against the 4 fight veteran. Martinez takes over the #1 spot at Super Featherweight and is now in title fight conversations.

The always exciting Darnell Strigglers, LASD did not fight Saturday night. His fight was canceled due to a weight class issue.

The undefeated #1 ranked Middleweight Chad Madrid, Santa Monica Police Dept extended his undefeated streak to 4-0. Madrid defeated Mendoza by TKO. Madrid has a lot of talent, its up to him and his team to take the risk and challenge for the middleweight title.

“Boom it’s your Boy” Will Jones was on the losing end of a decision. Jones is always in good spirits and is ready to jump back in the ring.

The 5th annual Battle in the Desert is in the books. The event is considered the biggest and best public safety boxing event of the year.  See you next year.
