Former UCA Cruiserweight title challenger Jamaal Braithwaite, Orange County Sheriff’s Office returns to the ring for another shot at boxing glory. On October 18, 2014 in the SoCal Battle of the Badges, Brathwaite will face Kyle Stewart, United States Marine Corps for the UCA Light Heavyweight Championship Title. Brathwaite is relinquishing his Cruiserweight 2nd ranking and dropping down to the Light Heavyweight division to challenge (8-1) King of the Cage champion and Battle of the Badges newcomer Stewaphoto(32)rt. The UCA title that was once held by James Davis, Folsom Prison and Matt Wurdinger, Santa Clara Police Dept. Brathwaite will be returning to the ring after a 14 month lay off and isn’t looking at this fight as a comeback fight, it’s more like a breakout fight. 175lbs is Brathwaite’s natural weight and if he can sneak past Steward he may be the Light Heavyweight King for a long time. Brathwaite vs Stewart is a very intriguing matchup. Brathwaite is a top level boxer and Stewart is a top level MMA fighter. The question on a lot of people’s minds will be answered Saturday night can an MMA fighter beat a boxer?
