FIRST WALK. FIRST TEST.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Valley Strong Ballpark in Visalia, two Masters UCA Jr. Heavyweights will take their first walk to the ring and everything they’ve worked for will be judged in a matter of minutes.

Hector Munoz, CDCR – Avenal State Prison vs

Rocky Ovando, CDCR – Tehachapi State Prison

Both men will be making their ring debut, and there is no easing into it. No tune up and no second chances. Just the bright lights, the crowd, the pressure and trying to control your breathing and your nerves.

Munoz is in camp with elite stablemates who understand that moment, the former UCA Welterweight Champion Marcel Hernandez, Masters UCA Champion John Olson, and undefeated #6 Jose Zambrano. He’s learning from experience and looking to establish himself immediately in the Jr. Heavyweight division. The goal is to step in, impose his will, and walk out 1-0.

Ovando, representing Tehachapi State Prison, is training hard at Bakersfield Boxing Gym with Coach Raul. He knows a statement performance can instantly change how the division views him. One dominant outing can move a fighter from unknown to contender overnight.

Which fighter will be able to control the nerves, manage the adrenaline, and perform under the pressure?
