ONE FINAL WORKOUT, ONE BIG OPPORTUNITY

Training camp is officially over for the UCA Welterweight Title Challenger Anthony Aguilar, CDCR–Avenal State Prison. After 14 weeks of hard work, Team Aguilar accomplished everything they set out to do. Following his final workout tonight, Anthony feels confident, prepared, and ready.

When Anthony steps into the ring he will have the 2X UCA Coach of the Year Juan Berber in his corner, a coach who knows what it takes to develop champions. Berber has two UCA Champions in his stable, Marcel Hernandez and John Olson, both representing Avenal State Prison.

Anthony described camp as challenging but rewarding. “It brought out the best in me. I put my head down, stayed consistent, and pushed myself even on the days I wasn’t feeling it. A lot of hard work went into getting here, and I’m coming into fight night confident in my preparation and ready to show it.”

He expects a competitive matchup and respects anyone willing to step into the ring. He believes his preparation will make the difference. “I’m confident in the work I’ve put in. At the end of the day, I see my hand getting raised.”

Anthony credits God, Favian Martinez, and his girlfriend, Daisy, for helping him stay focused throughout camp. “First and foremost, God. With Him, anything is possible, and my faith gives me the confidence to step into that ring without fear. Favian and Daisy have also been a huge part of this camp. They’ve pushed me, held me accountable, and kept me locked in even on the days I didn’t feel like putting in the work. I’m blessed to have them in my corner.”
