Every division eventually gets shaken up by a new fighter ready to prove he belongs at the top. The UCA Light Heavyweight Anthony Thompson of the Alameda Fire Department might be that fighter. Anthony is grinding through training camp preparing for his ring debut at the NorCal Battle of the Badges on Saturday, October 24, 2026, in Sacramento.
Thompson will be the first firefighter from the Alameda Fire Department to compete in the United Combat Association, and he’s determined to make that opportunity count. Coming from a strong athletic background, Anthony has already displayed solid fundamentals, discipline, and a relentless work ethic. While every debut presents its challenges, Thompson seems to already have all the tools to become a serious threat in the most talent rich division.
