For the past 16 weeks, stablemates and partners Jose Deval and Matt Webb proudly representing CDCR High Desert State Prison have pushed each other through training camp. They’ve shown up, put in the work, and held each other accountable.
Camp is about more than conditioning and technique. It takes discipline to keep showing up day after day, and having a trusted training partner beside you, can make all the difference.
Now, the work in the gym is done. On Saturday, October 24, both men will step into the ring at the NorCal Battle of the Badges. Jose Deval will face Beto Ortiz, CDCR–CHCF, and Matt Webb will face Jorge Estrada, CDCR–CHCF.
Sixteen weeks of preparation come down to one moment. On fight night, Jose and Matt will put their training to the test and give fight fans a show to remember.
