Telfer & Pinto Clash for the Vacant UCA Belt

After the undefeated UCA Jr. Cruiserweight Champion, Aaron Benoit from CDCR – CHCF, announced his sudden retirement, the Jr. Cruiserweight division was left without a champion. Within 24 hours of Aaron’s announcement, two worthy contenders emerged. Six-fight veteran Sam Telfer from the Chula Vista Fire Department will face the undefeated Vitus Pinto from the Los Angeles Fire Department for the vacant UCA Jr. Cruiserweight Championship title. Vitus will be giving up a four-fight experience advantage, but when asked about the gap, he said, “I just want to fight. It’s 6 minutes. I can fight anyone for 6 minutes.” Vitus has been busy, winning two fights in the last year and having the privilege to train with some of the best public safety fighters in the game, including the undefeated UCA Light Heavyweight Champion Ryan Ramirez, the UCA #1 ranked former Super Cruiserweight Title Challenger Sean Baker, and the UCA #1 ranked Title Challenger Zane Archer. Telfer, on the other hand, hasn’t fought since 2019 and has just started his training camp at the Boxing Club in San Diego.

Both fighters are 6 feet tall, right-handed, and weigh 183 pounds. Vitus is 29 years old with a record of 2-0, while Sam is 31 with a record of 3-1. Who has the advantage?
