Elite officiating arrives Saturday night, under the lights at the Valley Strong Ballpark, in Visalia. Every punch thrown, every exchange, and every championship moment will be guided by the highest level of professionalism in the sport.
Because when the action heats up at the Central California Battle of the Badges you need control, experience and authority. And that’s exactly what’s coming to the ring. Professional referees Jon Schorle and Jon Schorle III will serve as the third man in the ring bringing decades of world class experience to one of the biggest nights in Public Safety boxing.
Jon Schorle is one of California’s most respected referees, with a career that spans over three decades at the highest levels of boxing. Licensed since 1990 and working professionally since 1992, Schorle has built a reputation for composure, precision, and command in the most pressure filled environments the sport has to offer.
He has worked with the sport’s most prestigious sanctioning bodies: WBO, WBC. IBF, WBA. And across his career, he has officiated nearly 50 world title fights, a level of experience that few in the sport can match. From the biggest arenas in the world to the most high stakes championship bouts, Schorle has been trusted with the sport’s defining moments.
He was the referee for the historic showdown between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano one of the most celebrated fights in modern boxing. Jon has shared the ring with some of the greatest fighters of this era:
• Floyd Mayweather Jr.
• Saúl Canelo Álvarez
• Mikey Garcia
• Andre Ward
• Errol Spence Jr.
• Vitali Klitschko
• Antonio Margarito
Most recently, Schorle officiated the World Championship clash between O’Shaquie Foster and Stephen Fulton continuing to prove that his presence is trusted on boxing’s biggest stages.
His impact doesn’t stop inside the ropes. Schorle’s career even reached Hollywood, appearing in Million Dollar Baby a reflection of how deeply rooted he is in the fabric of the sport.
On a night featuring 7 UCA Championship Title Fights, the stakes couldn’t be higher and the responsibility inside the ring demands the very best. That’s exactly what the UCA is delivering.
