Who is Andrew Ortiz, CDCR – North Kern State Prison? Ortiz will challenge the undefeated, reigning and defending UCA Cruiserweight Champion Anthony Cross, CDCR CSP Sacramento.

UCA– When did you start boxing?

AO– I started boxing in 2016.

UCA– Who is your boxing coach?

AO– My boxing coach Javier Serna recently passed away this year. So this will be my first camp with coach Simon Morales

UCA– What gym do you train at?

AO– I train at the Emanuel Boxing Academy in Porterville. They have a great team there.

UCA– What is your boxing record?

AO– My record is 4 wins and 1 loss. I fought 3 officers from North Kern State Prison, Jesse Hernandez, Rogelio Ozuna and Jose Jimenez.

1 officer from Bakersfield Police Department, Joshua Calvasos.

UCA– You have complied a record of 4 wins and only 1 loss. Who is the only man to defeat you?

AO– My only loss is to Jose Jimenez from North Kern State Prison

UCA– Since you started boxing who is the toughest fighter you faced?

AO– Toughest fighter I faced was Rogelio Ozuna from North Kern State Prison.

UCA– Who is your favorite fighter?

AO– My favorite fighter is Errol Spence Jr.

UCA– If you had to pick one fighter who’s style mostly resembles yours, who would it be?

AO– I would say Roberto Duran.

UCA– Do you have a prediction for the fight against the undefeated Champion Anthony Cross?

AO– It’s going to be a war.
