Fight subject to change
The first public safety boxing event of the year took place Saturday night at the Pechanga Resort & Casino. If Saturday night’s SoCal Battle of the Badges is a glimpse of what the 2016 boxing season has in store we are in for one heck of a year. The event was sold out before the doors opened and for good reason. The card had just about everything you could ask for: first time fighters, veteran fighters, female fighters, knockouts and kickboxing. In addition, Cody Anderson, Rincon Fire Dept. proposed to his girlfriend in the center of the ring. “Fight of the Night” was not an easy pick but once the votes were in the honors were given to Mark Houston, RSO vs PJ McGee, Midwest Security. Remember the names James Douglas, USMC, Chris Seelig, Rialto PD, Joey Valencia, RSO, Cody Anderson, Rincon FD, and Tyler Kiest, CDCR, Blythe they are sure to be in title fight conversations.
