New fighter looking to get a shot at the UCA belt, Benjamin Dobbs, represents the new generation of Public Safety boxing. Benjamin Dobbs, U. S Navy, 190lbs has 33 fights and holds a record of 21-12 and is hungry and ready to fight now. “I want the belt and I will do anything to get on this card!” Dobbs said. “I want to fight for the 190lb title and also want a shot at the UCA Super Heavyweight title if someone pulls out of the fight. I want to be UCA’s pound for pound king. It would mean a lot to me as I am active duty in the Navy. I’m making the trip all the way from Virginia. One of my very good friends is fighting on the card and it would be big for the Navy to have two Sailors from one ship compete together on the same night. I would like to make the Navy proud by coming back with the belt. Hopefully a match can be made.” The Public Safety Boxing Game has changed.

Two newly crowned Champions have been forced to withdraw from the October 11, 2014 Battle of the Badges card due to injuries suffered in training. The UCA Jr Welterweight Champion Francisco Flores, Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Dept. and the UCA Middleweight Champion DJ Vargas, Avenal Police Dept. were scheduled to make the first defense of their title but they will have to wait. Flores was scheduled to face #3 Shant Sheklanian, Madera Police Dept. and Vargas was set to face #2 Quincy Mirage, LAPD. Both title fights have been postponed to the April 4, 2015 Central California Battle of the Badges Event at the Hanford Civic Auditorium.
